Trail Passes

Golden's groomed trail network is maintained by the Golden Snowmobile Club under an agreement with the Provincial Government. Riding the groomed trails requires a trail pass, purchased at the trailhead, unless you're a club member riding pass-free. Current trail pass rates and membership details are available directly through the Golden Snowmobile Club.

Backcountry & Avalanche Safety

Golden's alpine sledding areas cross avalanche terrain, and several local tour operators are certified in avalanche safety. Riders heading beyond the groomed network should check current avalanche conditions before setting out, and consider riding with a certified guide in unfamiliar terrain.
