This turquoise gem is in Yoho National Park. It's a great spot for canoeing and is one of the best ways to enjoy a sunny day in the Canadian Rockies. Easy Access off the Trans-Canada Highway 1, east of Golden.

Either get here very early or come late, as parking fills up quickly. We did the latter, showing up around 4:00 p.m. when it was less crowded.
You can walk around the lake in about 1.5 hours.

Stunning lake , we walked all the way round it but part of it is very uneven so be careful and always take bear spray with you . You can hire canoe , it’s £100 dollars , not cheap but definitely...

Went later in the day and could park close by. Very easy access and stunning. Still busy in late August so getting your timing right is important. It was 27 degrees at 4pm!
