We were told about this lake and the Takakkaw Falls nearby at the Lake Lousie visitor center. These two sights were way better than the over rated touristy areas like Lake Louise and Moraine lake...

Fabulous views of lake and mountains. Lots of hiking options, cabins looked great. Parking is easy. I’d go back. Beats lake Louise hands down.
