Kicking Horse Culture is proud to present the Summer Kicks 2025 season.
Every summer, people from all over gather in Golden to enjoy free Wednesday evening Summer Kicks concerts . The lineup includes both touring bands and local talent, providing a lively atmosphere with great music. The concerts take place at Keith King Park from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Attendees are advised to bring a chair or blanket as seating is limited but fun is guaranteed!

Local's Day kicks off our Summer Kicks series this year! With a line-up of entirely local musical acts, this event celebrates the talent we have here in our very own community. Grab your picnic blanket, your lawn chair, a sun hat, and come and boogie at Keith King Park!
Carl Trinkwon & the “Masters of Nun”
Carl Trinkwon and the “Masters of Nun” are a Golden band that have been creating and performing a combination of Folk, Blues and original music since 2010. The band features Todd Keith on mandolin, Ian Rowe on violin, and Mike Garner on Bass, as well as Carl on guitar & vocals.The album “Heart Shock-Ra” from 2014 displays a collection of gypsy, country and original tunes. Carl is also a solo artist/songwriter with 2 previous albums – “Cowboys & Secrets” 1999 and “Weapons of Peace” 2004.
Katie Martha and the Other Guys
Katie, Martha and the Other Guys met at the Wolf’s Den pub open mic jam in Golden, BC, where they discovered a natural affinity for playing music together. They landed their first gig at the Eagle’s Eye Restaurant, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in March 2023. Since then, they have continued to play together whenever their busy schedules allow, sharing their music with
appreciative audiences around Golden, including summer shows at the Golden Skybridge and Golden Summer Kicks Concert Series, and in Revelstoke as part of the Revy Live Outside summer concerts. The band consists of Katie Kendall on lead vocals, piano and guitar, Jackson Baker on bass and backing vocals, John Jenkins on drums and backing vocals, and Todd Keith on mandolin, guitar and backing vocals. They play an entertaining mix of heartfelt ballads and toe-tapping crowd pleasers, covering songs from roots and folk artists such as Chris Stapleton, Gillian Welch, Watchhouse (Mandolin Orange), Gregory Alan Isakov, Elvis Presley and more.

Confluence Jazz
Confluence Jazz is a band from Golden BC. They enjoy the creative process, morphing fine music to create a new sound. For them, jazz is a genre without borders. Lead singer and keyboard player Molly Roth is originally from Los Angeles. Molly is joined by Joan Dolinsky on trumpet and keys, Jeff Dolinsky on saxophone, Michael Garner, on upright bass, and Cole Burns on drums.
