Guide Days Folkfest

Edelweiss Village + Resort is proud to announce the inaugural Guide Days Folkfest, a vibrant new cultural event taking place October 18–19, 2025, in the heart of the Columbia Valley. 

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Purcell Mountains, this family-friendly folk festival honours the legacy of the Swiss
mountain guides who helped shape Golden’s alpine identity, while also celebrating modern-day guiding and outdoor lifestyles.
Hosted on the grounds of the historic Edelweiss Village—built for the original Swiss guides—Guide Days brings history to life with authentic Swiss food, live music, guided tours of the refurbished chalets, and much more. Guests will enjoy storytelling from
legendary mountain guides, sip locally brewed beer and BC wines in the beer garden and take part in family-friendly games and cultural performances.
