The Golden Ultra is a three-day stage running race (or relay) in Golden, BC, Canada. Runners can choose between two stage distances or build their desired daily distances.
New this year is the "Eat-Run-Sleep" 113km, 6100m elevation gain race! Register if you dare. It's a beautiful pendulum loop across the Columbia River Valley, but the course will make you work for those views.
Day 1 - Blood & Climb
Run uphill until you are sure you're sweating blood. The first day of the 3-day Golden Ultra involves an unrelenting uphill challenge. This one is going to hurt.
Blood - 5 km
Climb - 3 km
Day 2 - Sweat & Conquer
You're going to sweat. "Enjoy" one big and beautiful loop with fantastic mountain views. This new course is a bit shorter in distance than previous years, but with greater elevation gain.
Sweat - 55 km
Conquer - 30 km
Day 3 - Tears & Cruise
Tears of happiness or tears of pain? This last day of "flat," "flowy," and "fun" trail may be the best of times... or it may be the worst.
Tears - 20 km
Cruise - 10 km loop (actually it's 12.1km)
