Current Conditions - August 19, 2018
There are currently no wildfires threatening Golden BC and our activities and attractions are operating as normal. There is smoke in the area and a special air quality statement has been issued.
Whilst the province is currently under a state of emergency to ensure the impacted areas get everything they need in terms of support and resources, the rest of the province, including Golden, is very much open for business.
We encourage all visitors to know before you go; check DriveBC for information on road closures, the BC Wildfire Service for an interactive map, Emergency Info BC for alerts, and BC Parks for closures. Follow their social media accounts for the latest news.
