Le Purcell Mountain Lodge propose un nombre limité de randonnées guidées privées dans le Purcell Lodge. This thought rang loudly in my head as I hopped in my truck destined to find out for myself. Since noting its appearance in Explorer Magazine's top 25 hikes in BC I had been craving first-hand validation.

Le dernier grand projet en date consistait à courir depuis le sommet de la télécabine du Kicking Horse Resort jusqu'au lac Gorman. Il s'agit d'un itinéraire très connu à Golden, qui traverse la chaîne Dogtooth, alors inutile de dire que j'étais enthousiaste ! I was looking through old blog posts and realized that I had yet to write a post on favorite family hikes near Golden even though it’s one of our main ‘go to’ family activities – especially during the in-between seasons. So here it is, a post on some favorite ‘family-friendly’ hiking options. I’ve picked three hikes -- all close by and all relatively short (so they work well for younger kids and won’t threaten to take up the whole day).
L'automne à Golden, en Colombie-Britannique, est fait pour ceux qui veulent se sentir à l'aise et chez eux en visitant une petite ville de montagne. C'est la saison où vous vous sentirez probablement le plus comme un habitant de la région. Alors que la saison touristique estivale touche à sa fin et que les touristes hivernaux ne sont pas encore arrivés, il y a juste ce petit créneau parfait où la ville ralentit et devient plutôt calme - je pense que c'est la saison méditative de Golden.
