À propos du tourisme à Golden
Tourism Golden Association is a non-profit society incorporated in 2006 and mandated as the Destination Marketing Organisation for the Town of Golden and CSRD Area A (excluding Field).
Representing and supporting the tourism industry and its stakeholders, the organisation is primarily funded by the Municipal and Regional District Tax (MRDT, a tax of 3% imposed on the purchase of short-term tourism accommodation within the specified DMO area. Other funds are generated from advertising and retail sales, as well as grants and partnership funding for programs and projects.
Tourism Golden will lead, direct, and manage destination marketing activities and support tourism development initiatives on behalf of Golden and Kicking Horse Country by maintaining a collaborative and inclusive industry-driven organisation, and by providing opportunities for stakeholders to increase revenues. We will provide a consistent voice for Golden and Kicking Horse Country in the tourism marketplace.
