For a family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration, bundle up the kids and bring them to the Gondola Plaza at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Activities will include a Rail Jam under the lights hosted by our local skiers and snowboarders, a fire show by Amuse Troupe & a torchlight parade down the slopes! And to top it all off, a colossal year-end fireworks display starting at 9:00pm!

The New Year’s Eve Rail Jam event is considered a demonstration event and all skiers / riders need to be registered and aware of the challenges of a nighttime event. No outside riders will be allowed.

Catch Santa on the Slopes!
Santa’s taking a break from the North Pole to carve turns at Kicking Horse! 🎄 Catch him lapping the gondola all day, spreading cheer and candy canes across the mountain.
Santa and his trusty elf will be handing out treats and goodies for the kids while they cruise the slopes. Spot them for a quick photo opportunity or wave them down for a holiday high-five!
This is your chance to hit the slopes with Santa before he heads back to work at the North Pole!
Catch him around Catamount and Jelly Bean at 10:30 AM, where he’ll be doing a few laps and spreading holiday cheer. If you miss him in the morning, don’t worry - he might make a lunchtime stop at the Whitetooth Grill to say hello!

Join us for an evening dedicated to avalanche safety, awareness, and community learning. Hear from a lineup of expert speakers covering topics like snowpack conditions, risk management, and backcountry decision-making. Explore displays from local vendors and connect with others passionate about safe mountain adventures.

The weekend will begin on Saturday with the Dummy Downhill which will have teams create ridiculous contraptions to launch off at the base with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Registration is FREE
On Sunday we fill the pool for a Slush Cup competition prizes for best male, female, youth, fall and others. All money goes to GADSAR (Golden and District Search and Rescue) who will be in the pool helping retrieve you.
To close it all off there will be a patio party from 3-5pm at the Whitetooth Grill presented by Corona, with live beats provided by Naturalist.
