Wildlife Watching in Golden, BC

Wildlife erleben

Golden is one of the best places in the Canadian Rockies for wildlife and bird watching. The surrounding Kicking Horse Country is home to black and grizzly bears, elk, deer, moose, big-horned mountain sheep, mountain lions, wolves, coyotes, and mountain goats, while the rivers and lakes support a diversity of waterfowl and birds including osprey, bald eagles, and herons. Beavers are commonly found along rivers and wetlands.  Whether you are on foot, on a bike, or in a vehicle, keep your eyes open as you explore, and always observe wild animals from a safe distance.
