There’s a reason that the Freeride World Tour makes a stop in Golden. The mountains are big and the snow is deep. In addition to that, the Dogtooth range is a stone’s throw away from the infamous Rogers Pass, making Golden a backcountry hub. Standing outside in Golden BC, I peer upwards above my steaming thermos. Big, steep, white, and endless are the peaks that surround this strategically placed town. I nearly trip over my own feet as I perform a slow shuffling 360 while drooling over the sea of mountains and wonder, how do I choose where to ski tour first?

Ich bin nach Golden gezogen, weil ich hier das ultimative Terrain vorfinde und meiner Leidenschaft für das Schlittenfahren im Hinterland nachgehen möchte. Ich komme ursprünglich aus Lacombe, Alberta. Ich bin in ganz Alberta und Britisch-Kolumbien aufgewachsen. Meine Familie hat mich im Alter von 3 Jahren mit dem Motorschlittenfahren vertraut gemacht, und seither bin ich süchtig nach diesem Sport!
