Cross-Country Skiing
Cross-country skiing in Golden is its own multi-day activity with a wealth of trails to explore. The Dawn Mountain at the base of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has a 28-kilometre network of perfectly groomed trails that range from gently rolling beginner loops to challenging tracks.
The Golden Golf Course trail system has a series of maintained trails that are best skied in the middle of winter season. For non-maintained trails in the forest check out Moonraker trails, they are great for skiing with your dog.

3rd Annual Dawn Mountain Challenge Two days of sprint racing. The first event spotlights exciting 800m freestyle night sprints right on the mountain at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The second day is a classic sprint followed by a classic team sprint at the Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre. |

Moonlight Ski Evening Follow the tiki lights from the Dawn Mountain Nordic Centre trailhead to the cabin where a warm campfire will welcome all skiers. Stay for a visit, cook up some smokies or marshmallows and head out to ski the moonlit trails.
