If you would like to learn about avalanche safety and safe backcountry travel techniques taking an avalanche skills training course from experienced avalanche professionals is the best way to do so. Our instructors have a minimum of four years instructing recreational avalanche courses and have worked as professionals in the avalanche industry.

Our recreational avalanche courses take place in the intermediate/advanced backcountry terrain of the Purcells. We explore the terrain inside and outside the boundaries to further our understanding of avalanches and travel in avalanche terrain. This course focuses on avalanche self rescue, recognizing avalanche terrain, safe backcountry travel techniques, interpreting the avalanche bulletin, and trip planning.
