Kayaking & Canoeing

There are over ten spectacular rivers within an hour-an-a-half drive from Golden. Come late spring (late May or early June) the snow up high is melting and all that run-off comes barrelling down. High water season lasts about six weeks, until about mid-July. Great paddling trips can be enjoyed from May to September.

If whitewater isn’t your speed, check out some of the flatwater trips in the area. Check out the Columbia River for a day of comfortable current, beautiful wildlife and the possibility of multi-day trips. For more information, check out www.goldenkayakclub.com.
