Mount 7 Downhill Trails
Golden’s premier ride, Mount 7 features one incredible climb, stunning views, and descent options that will blow your socks off!
You can either drive up the Mount 7 forest service road, as majority of downhill specialists do, or ride your cross country mountain bike the entire 14 km to Mt 7 Lookout. It is very rewarding and the views of the Rockies, Purcells and Columbia Wetlands are incredible.
Catch your breath at the top and take your time watching paragliders, hang gliders and downhill mt. bikers launching themselves from the steeps of Mt. 7. Enjoy the views, check your brakes and launch yourself too. The descent is a real brake burner but there are some more sane options to get down. The easiest is the road you came up.
